Used Car Dealership Manager Operations & Sales

Job Description

Company Car Enterprise LLC is looking for a
  • strong, organized, hands-on leader
  • to manage the day-to-day operations of our used car dealership in Lake Alfred, FL. We currently sell an average of
  • 30 vehicles per month
  • and have a team of
  • 2 Sales Representatives, 2 Mechanics, and 1 Detailer
  • . This position is responsible for
  • leading this team, coordinating daily operations, planning priorities, monitoring execution, and ensuring the dealership consistently moves toward its sales and operational goals.
  • This is
  • not simply a sales position
  • . We are looking for someone who can
  • lead people, plan operations, execute consistently, follow through, solve problems, and take ownership of the dealership's daily performance.
  • Sales experience is important, but
  • leadership, execution, organization, accountability, and initiative are the most important qualities for this position.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is required.
  • ## Leadership & Dealership Management
  • Lead and manage the dealership's current team of
  • 2 Sales Representatives, 2 Mechanics, and 1 Detailer
  • .
    • Establish daily and weekly priorities for the team and ensure proper execution.
    • Assign responsibilities, monitor progress, and hold team members accountable.
    • Coordinate the activities of the sales, mechanical, and detailing teams to keep vehicles moving efficiently through the dealership.
    • Plan the workflow for vehicles from acquisition and inspection through repairs, detailing, advertising, customer presentation, and sale.
    • Conduct regular follow-up with team members to ensure assigned tasks are completed on time.
    • Identify operational issues and take action to resolve them.
    • Create and implement action plans to improve sales, inventory turnover, and operational efficiency.
    • Communicate regularly with ownership/management regarding dealership performance, team performance, inventory, sales, and operational needs.
    • Lead by example and maintain a professional, productive, organized, and accountable work environment. ## Planning & Execution The successful candidate will be expected to

    • Translate management objectives into clear action plans for the dealership.
    • Plan daily and weekly activities based on inventory levels, vehicle age, sales opportunities, repairs, customer demand, and business priorities.
    • Monitor the execution of plans and make adjustments when necessary.
    • Ensure that responsibilities are clearly assigned and completed.
    • Follow up on pending issues until they are fully resolved.
    • Identify what needs to be done before it becomes a problem.
    • Keep the dealership organized and moving efficiently every day. ## Sales & Customer Management
    • Oversee the dealership's sales activity and customer follow-up.
    • Support and guide the sales representatives in their daily activities.
    • Monitor leads and ensure customer inquiries are answered promptly.
    • Review sales activity and identify opportunities to improve conversion and vehicle turnover.
    • Ensure vehicles are properly priced, photographed, described, and advertised.
    • Research comparable vehicles and market pricing.
    • Personally assist with sales and customers when needed.
    • Develop strategies to move vehicles that have remained in inventory for more than 45 days.
    • Help the dealership achieve and exceed its current average of approximately
    • 30 vehicle sales per month

    • Earn commissions based on vehicle sales. ## Inventory & Operations
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date vehicle information in DealerCenter.
    • Monitor inventory aging on a weekly basis.
    • Coordinate vehicle inspections with the mechanics when vehicles arrive from auction.
    • Coordinate approved repairs, parts, tires, keys, paint, and other vehicle-related services.
    • Coordinate with the detailer to ensure vehicles are properly prepared for photography and customer presentation.
    • Coordinate vehicle pickups from auctions when required.
    • Maintain organization of dealer plates, keys, and vehicle information.
    • Coordinate title-related processes and customer title deliveries.
    • Maintain accurate vehicle expenses and operational information in DealerCenter. ## Qualifications
    • Fluent in English and Spanish - required.
    • Previous leadership, management, supervisory, or team coordination experience required.
    • Experience managing a small team and assigning/following up on responsibilities.
    • Experience in automotive, used car dealerships, retail, sales, operations, or a similar environment preferred.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    • Comfortable using computers, DealerCenter or similar dealership software, social media, and online vehicle marketplaces.
    • Valid driver's license.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
    • Ability to work independently and take ownership of results. ## What We Are Looking For We are looking for a
