full-time MIU City University Miami | Miami, FL MIU City University Miami is looking for a Senior Associate - Business Development to join our team and contribute to the growth of the University through the development of strategic partnerships and new B2B business opportunities . We are seeking a results-oriented professional with experience in business development, B2B sales, and strategic partnerships within the higher education sector , who can manage the commercial process from prospecting and negotiation to contract execution and relationship management. Key Responsibilities Business Development & Partnerships Identify and develop new business opportunities with educational institutions, government entities, and private companies. Build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders. Represent the University at events, conferences, and industry activities. B2B Sales & Negotiation Manage the full B2B sales cycle, from prospecting through closing and post-sale follow-up. Develop customized commercial proposals based on client needs. Negotiate and formalize strategic agreements and partnerships. Project & Account Management Coordinate the implementation of educational projects with internal teams and external partners. Monitor active partnerships and contracts, ensuring client satisfaction and achievement of agreed objectives. Market Analysis & Strategy Analyze market trends, competitors, and new business opportunities. Collaborate with Marketing on strategic commercial initiatives. Monitor business development KPIs and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Requirements Bachelor's degree in International Relations, Business Administration, or a related field . Minimum 2 years of experience in Business Development, B2B Sales, or Strategic Partnerships within the higher education sector - required. Knowledge of the higher education sector and its public and private stakeholders. Familiarity with higher education accreditation, licensing, regulatory frameworks, or academic credential processes is a plus. Strong negotiation and closing skills. Excellent communication and networking abilities. Strategic thinking and market analysis skills. Project management and collaborative work skills. Results-oriented mindset. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who can create opportunities, build strategic relationships, negotiate effectively, and convert partnerships into measurable business results . The ideal candidate combines commercial skills with a strong understanding of the higher education industry and is comfortable interacting with institutional leaders, companies, government entities, and educational organizations. Schedule Monday to Friday Occasionally, two Saturday mornings per month . Success in the Role Performance will be measured through key business development indicators, including: Strategic collaboration agreements signed. Student enrollment generated through partnerships. B2B sales pipeline and conversion. Client and partner retention and satisfaction. Timely and accurate reporting of commercial activities and KPIs.
