The Route Sales Representative (RSR) strengthens customer relationships, increases revenue, and upholds the company's commitment to quality, service, and reliability. OVERVIEW
The RSR is responsible for servicing all customers according to the receiving sheets provided by the DM and RM, increasing sales by developing and maintaining relationships with current and prospective clients. The RSR sets up new stores, planograms (POGs), and implement promotions and displays to drive growth. In alignment with our emphasis on entrepreneurship and inclusive leadership, the RSR works with minimal direct oversight, consistently exemplifying fairness and integrity in all sales activities. The RSR communicates daily with his/her my District Manager (DM) and Regional Manager (RM) about opportunities, store challenges, and broader strategic goals, ensuring we anticipate and meet customer needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Uphold all safety, fleet, and Department of Transportation (DOT) policies, reflecting our culture of responsibility and dedication to workplace and product safety.
  • Promote sales through active engagement with store managers, filling sections and identifying opportunities for displays, endcaps, and promotional tie-ins.
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with existing and potential customers, reinforcing our passion for detail and long-term partnerships.
  • Coordinate daily product needs by driving a DOT-certified company vehicle between assigned stores and the offsite warehouse.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and handle necessary paperwork and reports, consistently demonstrating personal accountability and dedication to quality. Unloading of product shipped directly to the warehouse, verify counts, and properly store in your warehouse. Making sure your Company truck is loaded properly with all the product needs for each day.
  • Begin each day by reviewing objectives and end each day by communicating results, sales opportunities, or specific needs with my DM.
  • Adhere to established frequency of service for each customer, ensuring superior value in every visit.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform regular vehicle inspections, reporting major maintenance issues to the DM immediately. To the Fleet Manager.
  • Troubleshoot handheld equipment issues, contacting IT and notifying the DM to minimize disruptions.
  • Follow all FFT guidelines, policies, and procedures, reflecting our commitment to personal development and respect for our multicultural teams.
  • Upload sales transactions and verify data accuracy at the end of each day.
  • Fulfill any other tasks required to ensure continuous operational excellence and innovation.
REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma required; post-high-school studies preferred.
  • Proven ability to work independently, employing strong business judgment.
  • Valid DOT Medical Card (renewed at least annually) and clean driving record.
  • Experience driving a DOT-certified truck (up to 16') and Direct Sales Delivery (DSD).
  • Willingness to travel, demonstrating flexibility and readiness to support long-term business success.
RSRS do not travel any more
TECHNICAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office for maintaining records, reports, and communications.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple accounts and inventory needs.
  • Self-motivated leadership skills, reflecting a commitment to personal accountability and continuous improvement.
COMPETENCIES AND TRAINING
  • Thorough knowledge of safety practices, including safety training and guidance on distraction-free driving.
  • Familiarity with our company's Guiding Principles, ensuring actions align with respect, humility, and fostering a supportive environment.
  • Ongoing sales and operations training to enhance my ability to deliver innovative solutions to our customers.
