Job Description
Experienced Freight Broker Cradle-to-Grave / Full Lifecycle | Fort Lauderdale, FL Full-Time | Hybrid Option Available $60,000-$100,000 Base + Sales Commissions A growing freight brokerage in the Fort Lauderdale area is seeking an experienced Cradle-to-Grave Freight Broker who wants greater ownership over their business and the freedom to manage the entire customer relationship. This is a true full-lifecycle brokerage opportunity. Rather than being limited to one piece of the process, you will prospect and develop shippers, secure freight, source and negotiate with carriers, manage shipments from pickup through delivery, and maintain the customer relationship. What You'll Do Prospect, develop, and close new shipper relationships. Build and maintain a sustainable, profitable book of business. Source, vet, and negotiate with qualified carriers. Utilize DAT, Truckstop, internal networks, and TMS systems. Manage loads from rate confirmation through dispatch, check calls, and final delivery. Serve as the primary point of contact for your customers. Resolve service and transit issues while protecting customer relationships and margins. What We're Looking For 1-3+ years of verifiable freight brokerage or freight agent experience. Strong understanding of freight-market dynamics and lane pricing. Experience negotiating rates and working directly with carriers. Proficiency with DAT, Truckstop, and modern TMS platforms. Ability to develop and maintain profitable shipper relationships. An active, portable book of shipper business is highly preferred. Why Consider the Opportunity? This is an opportunity for an experienced broker who wants to own the full process rather than operate inside a highly segmented brokerage structure. You'll join a lean, growing organization that values experienced brokers who can operate independently, develop business, protect margins, and build lasting customer relationships.
