This position primarily handles quote requests by email. You will use VINs and vehicle information to identify the correct application, research vendor pricing and availability, prepare accurate quotes, and follow requests through the ordering process. This is not a commission-based sales position . The focus is on automotive knowledge, accuracy, customer service, responsiveness, and organization. Key Responsibilities Respond to incoming customer quote requests, primarily by email Use VINs and vehicle information to identify correct engines, transmissions, and powertrain applications Research vendor pricing, availability, lead times, warranties, and product information Prepare accurate quotes and provide customers with product and shipping information Manage a high volume of quote requests while maintaining accuracy Follow up on outstanding quotes and assist with converting approved quotes into orders Enter and maintain accurate customer, quote, vendor, and order information Communicate with customers, vendors, purchasing, shipping, warranty, accounting, and other departments Use Microsoft Excel and company systems to organize and track information Qualifications Automotive industry experience or strong automotive knowledge required Knowledge of domestic and import vehicles, engines, transmissions, and vehicle applications Ability to understand and research VIN and vehicle information Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong written communication and professional email skills Ability to manage multiple requests and work independently Strong research and problem-solving skills
Preferred Experience:
Experience with automotive parts, transmissions, engines, dealerships, repair facilities, extended warranty companies, VIN decoding, parts catalogs, or remanufactured automotive products is highly preferred.
