- The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth, managing strategic customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering profitable sales results across assigned territories within the metals industry. Outside Sales Representative Job Responsibilities
- Develop strategic sales plans, pricing policies, and sales systems within established guidelines as identified by the planning process.
- Manage pricing, metal formulas, and profitability within the guidelines established by the sales manager.
- Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities to expand market share within assigned territory.
- Reports directly to the sales manager and collaborates closely with operations, supply chain, product development and executive leadership.
- Assist in the strategic planning process by providing market intelligence, competitive analysis, customer feedback, and assessment of the execution of our tactical performance.
- Provide product development, production, and marketing with new opportunities or programs that expand our service and product offerings to the customer base.
- Responsibly manage expenses, deployment of resources, and finished goods inventory to achieve monthly and annual targets.
- This role provides opportunities for advancement into senior sales, strategic account management, and regional leadership positions.
- Education/Experience Bachelor's degree, business, marketing, sales or related field A minimum of five years of metal sales or related sales experience
- Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times Must be able to travel weekly, 50% of the time or more
