Job Description
Description Yanmar Compact Equipment North America designs, manufactures, and supports a complete range of compact equipment — including compact track loaders, mini excavators, wheel loaders, and construction equipment — for markets such as construction, landscaping, utility, land management, and agriculture. Products are sold primarily through a third-party, independent dealer network. Overview The Lead Generation Specialist is a member of the commercial team who directly supports high-priority sales initiatives to drive wholesale and retail machine sales. This includes direct communication with the dealer network to drive sales promotions and management of end-user leads received through marketing efforts. Adairsville or Acworth, GA or Grand Rapids, MN Key Responsibilities
- Manage incoming end-user leads from submission through handoff to a dealer, including qualifying leads, coordinating with the dealer network, providing regular follow-up, and maintaining full tracking within the CRM (Salesforce).
- Develop target dealer lists when wholesale programs are released, and communicate with dealers by phone and email — in close coordination with Business Development Managers (BDMs) — to explain and promote the programs.
- Follow up with end users and resolve issues raised by Net Promoter Score (NPS) survey results, either directly or by organizing resolutions with the appropriate departments.
- Conduct proactive follow-up with prospective customers to verify dealer engagement and customer engagement.
- Maintain a full understanding of all dealer-facing IT systems, supporting new dealer onboarding through system training and assisting current dealer users as needed.
- Run regular audits of missing warranty registrations and follow up with dealers to ensure products are properly registered. Requirements Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant field, or equivalent college experience; previous experience in a customer-facing role required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; prior CRM experience required, with knowledge of finance company processes a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; organizational and planning skills with a focus on detail; a self-starter with strong customer service skills; able to interact appropriately with others in stressful and busy situations; regular and reliable attendance required.
- Inside sales experience and prior Salesforce CRM experience preferred. Physical Requirements / Work Environment
- Primarily a plant/office environment; ability to work 8+ hours per day and navigate all areas of the building and facility as needed.
- May occasionally lift and move up to 20 pounds in an office, customer, or similar setting; must remain aware of surroundings at all times.
