Available after successful completion of the probationary period Position Summary Redwood Landscaping is seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative to grow its commercial and corporate customer base throughout Northwest Indiana and South Chicagoland. The representative will be responsible for developing new business, building relationships with commercial decision-makers, closing new accounts, and growing existing customer relationships. The successful candidate will initially receive qualified sales opportunities from Redwood Landscaping while learning the company's services, customers, and sales process. Over time, the representative will be expected to independently develop their territory, generate new leads, and build a sustainable book of business. Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development Engage with qualified prospects provided by Redwood Landscaping and convert opportunities into new customers. Prospect independently through cold calling, email outreach, networking, referrals, in-person visits, and other sales activities. Develop relationships with property managers, facility managers, business owners, developers, HOAs, and other commercial decision-makers. Conduct sales meetings, property visits, and presentations. Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate landscaping and property maintenance solutions. Prepare proposals and estimates and assist with negotiating and closing contracts. Maintain an active sales pipeline and consistently work toward established sales goals. Account Management Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial customers. Serve as a primary sales contact for assigned accounts. Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts through additional services and seasonal offerings. Work closely with Redwood Landscaping's operations team to ensure customer expectations are met. Support customer retention and long-term account growth. Territory Development Identify target businesses, properties, and industries within the assigned territory. Develop a professional network of commercial decision-makers. Build Redwood Landscaping's presence within the local business community. Transition from company-provided opportunities to independently generated business. Qualifications Previous sales, business development, or account management experience preferred. B2B or commercial sales experience strongly preferred. Landscaping, construction, property services, or facility services experience is a plus. Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Comfortable with prospecting, cold calling, and face-to-face sales. Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently. Ability to manage multiple prospects and customer relationships. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Industry experience is not required for the right sales professional. Redwood Landscaping is looking for someone who can build relationships, identify opportunities, close business, and develop a territory. Pay:
$75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
