Position Summary :
Paint Outside Sales Representative drives revenue by proactively identifying and securing new Commercial, Residential and Industrial clients while managing existing accounts within an assigned territory. They build relationships with contractors and painters, provide technical product expertise, conduct on-site demos, and achieve gallon-growth targets through relationship-driven, consultative selling.
  • Expand the Company's business within the Lexington, KY area
  • Achieve sales goals through the acquisition and development of new customers and expansion of the product line within the existing customer base.
  • Develop and target regional accounts and prospects in conjunction with the stores & Sales Manager.
  • Achieve contract, revenue growth, account milestone objectives, and activity expectations within an assigned account geography.
  • Multiple years of Paint Industry and/or Sales experience preferred.
  • Must be a self-starter and punctual
  • Strong desire to achieve top results with a positive can-do demeanor
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently
  • Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate and close deals
  • Ability to excel at product knowledge, presentation skills, and building client relationships
  • Commitment to ethical behavior and willingness to adhere to company policies, values, & mission.
  • High School Diploma
Proficient Computer Skills:
Excel, email services, ability to master point of sale system, product information & training materials as applicable
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Tasked with the responsibility of servicing customers and developing sales in a designated territory.
  • Establish new accounts by discovering business opportunities and calling on new customers.
  • Give product recommendations, application instructions, and quote competitive pricing on coatings for the architectural, commercial, and industrial markets.
  • Place orders on behalf of customers and follow-up that orders have been completed in a timely manner.
  • Work in conjunction with Store Managers and Sales Manager to ensure customer needs are met or exceeded.
  • Promote Farrell Calhoun Paint, developing creative sales strategies
  • Facilitate company promotional and training events
  • Support the stores with sales and customer service when needed.
  • Maintain regular contact with customers to understand needs and identify business opportunities.
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems and developing solutions.
  • Ensure all internal reporting is completed in a timely manner with correct information.
  • Monitor sales performance, track key metrics, and provide regular reports to Sales Manager
  • Regularly communicate with Sales Manager regarding status and progress of accounts.
  • Encourage and develop a team culture with store team members.
  • Actively establish and build strong relationships with external and internal partners.
  • Achieve defined sales goals, margins, metrics, and objectives while building brand awareness and generating sales.
