In this role, you will be responsible for managing the logistics of freight transportation, ensuring timely delivery, and building strong relationships with clients and carriers. Your expertise in supply chain management and transportation planning will be essential in facilitating efficient operations and maximizing customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Develop and maintain relationships with clients to understand their shipping needs and provide tailored solutions. Coordinate shipments by negotiating rates with carriers and ensuring compliance with contracts. Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) to track shipments, manage logistics, and maintain accurate records. Engage in B2B sales activities to generate leads and expand the customer base. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of freight operations, including dispatching and data entry tasks. Monitor industry trends and regulations, including FDA regulations, to ensure compliance and optimize service offerings. Conduct pricing analysis to provide competitive quotes while maximizing profitability. Manage accounts through effective customer relationship management (CRM) software, ensuring timely follow-ups and issue resolution. Participate in sales management activities, including lead generation and contract negotiations. Experience 3-5 years of previous experience working as a freight broker. Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and CRM software is essential for success in this role. Strong understanding of 3PL, NVOCC operations, and transportation planning processes is a plus. Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract management.
