Grand Island, NE Collaborative and professional work environment Competitive compensation and benefits package Direct Hire Opportunity with training and growth potential Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Sales Support Specialist to support daily sales operations for a growing organization in Grand Island. In this role, you will assist customers and sales staff with product information, quotes, order entry, documentation, and scheduling while coordinating closely with internal departments to ensure orders are processed accurately and efficiently. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with customers, staying organized, and serving as a key connection between sales, operations, and customers. Responsibilities Assist customers and sales staff with product information, quotes, sales orders, and general inquiries Serve as a professional point of contact for customers by phone, email, and in-person interactions Process sales orders, returns, and adjustments accurately and efficiently Monitor open orders and proactively follow up on delays, issues, or missing information Maintain accurate customer, order, and job records within required systems Coordinate with Install & Service, Warehouse & Yard, Purchasing, and Delivery teams to support order fulfillment and scheduling Review orders and documentation for accuracy and completeness Identify, resolve, or escalate discrepancies that may impact customers or operations Keep management informed of issues affecting customer satisfaction, order accuracy, or scheduling Provide additional inside sales or counter support during high-volume or time-sensitive periods Attend meetings, complete required training, and provide backup coverage as needed Maintain a professional, organized work environment and follow company policies and procedures Qualifications and Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred 0-1 years of customer service, sales support, administrative, order entry, or related experience preferred Experience in construction, building materials, manufacturing, or a related industry is a plus Basic computer proficiency, including email, data entry, and internal systems Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team Ability to work 1-2 Saturdays per month for a 4-hour shift Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
