Job Description
Bittersweet Farms is a world-renowned leader in serving individuals with autism. We are seeking a full-time Vocational Services Production Manager. Position Summary This role provides direct support services during special events and within the Bittersweet Farms Supported Employment Program as needed, helping individuals with autism achieve meaningful employment experiences and community engagement . Details of Job Duties Represent Bittersweet Farms at community events throughout Northwest Ohio, promoting and selling merchandise while building relationships with local businesses and community partners. Coordinate Bittersweet product production, sales, inventory management, and accounting functions. Oversee online sales, wholesale partnerships, and event-based product sales.
Hours & Pay:
1st shift hours with flexibility to work evening & weekend community events $ 21.00- $ 24.00 hourly Essential Responsibilities Oversee and coordinate all Bittersweet product production activities Responsible for oversight, performance management, and payroll of supported employment staff Manage product inventory, sales operations, and accounting processes Oversee online sales platforms, including website-based product sales Develop and maintain reports related to product sales, inventory, and production performance Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and operational efficiency through process improvements and innovation Coordinate and maintain regular participation in community events throughout Northwest Ohio Manage product sales at tent events, festivals, markets, and community events utilizing the Bittersweet Mobile Venture Unit Ensure all event logistics are coordinated before events (staffing, technology, and point-of-sale needs, inventory, etc.) Establish and maintain positive relationships with local businesses, community organizations, and wholesale partners Support marketing and promotional initiatives that increase product visibility and sales growth Collaborate with the Supported Employment Program to provide meaningful work opportunities in the community for participants Serve as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) as needed Provide support and supervision to participants during production activities, community events, and employment-related experiences Foster a positive, inclusive, and person-centered environment that promotes participant success and independence Qualifications Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, based on program and event needs Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Strong financial management skills Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience Experience working with individuals with autism and/or other developmental disabilities strongly preferred Ability to collaborate effectively with participants, coworkers, and community partners Strong organizational, problem-solving, and independent decision-making skills Ability to remain patient, empathetic, and professional in challenging situations Valid driver's license with the ability to be insured Must be able to safely operate a company truck and trailer for transportation to community events and program activitiesEmployee Benefits:
