Common customers include oil refineries, natural gas transmission stations, air separation plants, chemical plants and more. Compressors range from smallest at 50hp to large at +2,000hp. Our sales team is technically proficient at reading drawings, parts schematics, identifying and diagnosing problems and using precision measuring tools. This opening is for the Northeast Territory (NJ, NYC, CT, MA, VT, NH, ME) and the right salesperson will be based out of our shop in Tullytown, PA. Office space will be provided. However, this is a 50% travel position and overnights are required. We seek a seasoned professional ideally with +5 years of experience selling to the industrial market. This is an existing sales territory with much potential for growth. The right candidate will have a demonstrated track record of cultivating new accounts through cold-calling, CRM database usage, follow ups and quantifiable sales increases. Hi-Tech Compressor will train the right individual in compressor function and operation. However, mechanical aptitude is required. Company vehicle is provided, so a clean driving record and drug-screen are also required. Cell phone, laptop, sales aides and expense account are also provided.
- Makes sales calls on a regular basis to existing customers and prospects for Hi-Tech Compressor products and services to business and industrial establishments within geographical assigned territory.
- Identify each customer's needs and expectations to establish a successful customer-supplier working relationship.
- Take measurements, read and interpret system reports and/or documents, safety procedures and guidelines, operating and maintenance instructions, and operating procedure manuals.
- Prepare accurate, thoroughly written quote requests for the Estimating Team. (Neatly, if handwritten)
- Follow through to get orders placed and fulfilled as promised.
- Plan and report activities on a weekly basis. Requirements
- Must possess the ability to solve practical problems and deal with variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- The ability to interpret a variety of the instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Travel 50% of the week (Monday through Friday)
