This role is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, building referral partnerships, generating qualified leads, and supporting the sales process from prospecting through proposal development. The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator who enjoys networking, building relationships, and helping organizations solve communication challenges through print, mail, document automation, and customer communication solutions. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys business development but is not interested in a high-pressure transactional sales environment. Key Responsibilities New Business Development
  • Identify and research prospective customers.
  • Develop target account lists within key industries.
  • Conduct outreach through phone, email, LinkedIn, networking events, and referrals.
  • Schedule discovery meetings with decision-makers.
  • Maintain prospect activity within CRM. Partnership Development
  • Build relationships with:
  • Marketing Agencies
  • Graphic Design Firms
  • CRM consultants
  • Managed IT Providers
  • Fundraising consultants
  • Higher Education consultants
  • Create and support referral partner programs.
  • Participate in partner meetings and networking events.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with strategic partners. Lead Nurturing
  • Follow up on inbound inquiries.
  • Maintain contact with prospects throughout the sales cycle.
  • Assist with proposal development and presentation preparation.
  • Coordinate sales activities with company leadership. Account Growth Support
  • Identify upsell opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Conduct periodic account reviews.
  • Gather customer feedback and identify new service opportunities. Marketing Support
  • Assist with LinkedIn outreach campaigns.
  • Support webinar, trade show, and event participation.
  • Collect customer success stories and case studies.
  • Help distribute marketing content to prospects and partners. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of business development, sales, account management, recruiting, customer success, or related experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable making outreach calls and conducting virtual meetings.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Understands current marketing ecosystem - digital marketing, channel options, tools, technology, and strategies.
  • Strong interest in social media and SMB marketplace.
