About the Opportunity Cardinal Capital Group is hiring three Loan Originators, internally titled as Account Managers, to join a new training cohort beginning October 1, 2026. We are looking to add one Loan Orginator/Account Manager to each of our Boston, Madison, and West Hartford offices. This role is responsible for developing new business, building relationships with real estate professionals, and managing lending opportunities from initial contact through closing. We seek competitive, dynamic, results-driven Account Managers who are coachable, and motivated to build a long-term career in private lending. Ideal candidates possess sales experience, a curiosity to learn and a positive attitude. What You Will Do Business Development Generate new lending opportunities through cold calling, email outreach, networking, and relationship building. Develop referral relationships with real estate investors, developers, agents, brokers, attorneys, appraisers, and other industry professionals. Attend networking events, conferences, and industry functions to increase Cardinal's brand awareness. Partner with Marketing on lead generation campaigns and business development initiatives. Build and maintain a consistent pipeline of new lending opportunities. Borrower & Deal Management Qualify prospective borrowers by gathering borrower, guarantor, property, and transaction information. Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the loan process. Coordinate with processing, underwriting, and closing teams to move loans efficiently from application through funding. Deliver an exceptional client experience through proactive communication and follow-up. Portfolio & CRM Management Conduct routine site visits for active construction projects. Maintain ongoing borrower relationships to generate repeat business. Keep accurate records of all borrower interactions, meetings, prospecting activities, and pipeline updates within the CRM. Maintain organized follow-up schedules and provide accurate pipeline reporting.
