OUTSIDE SALESPERSON WANTED
The Outside Salesperson (OS) will source new customers and care for existing customers by demonstrating an in-depth knowledge of our product lines and manufacturing capabilities. The incumbent is expected to understand and anticipate the customers' needs and suggest how the products and services that we offer will meet or exceed those needs. By working effectively with internal departments, the OS will ensure customer satisfaction, thus building and/or strengthening relationships to ensure future business.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Market and sell building component products to prospective and existing customer base in assigned territory by growing and strengthening relationships and conveying our superior value proposition. Oversee the entire order process from quoting through delivery including managing the schedule and addressing customer issues. Maintain accurate up to date records on sales activity including order pipeline, prospecting, lost business, and territory sales forecasts. Prospect for customers on the road and by visiting jobsites as necessary. Stay up to date on current industry trends and code changes and utilize that knowledge to assist customers. Manage accounts receivable for client base. Carry out other duties assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
Effective and experienced in sales Proficient in Microsoft Office suite Able to read plans/blueprints or willingness to learn how to do so Knowledge of home building industry Ability to work independently Possess demonstrated planning and organizational skills SKILLS Negotiation — Bringing others together and trying to reconcile differences. Reading Comprehension — Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents. Active Listening — Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times. Critical Thinking — Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Time Management — Planning and controlling how you use your hours to balance tasks and reach your targets and goals on schedule. Writing — Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience. Self-motivation.
