We are an employee-owned, independent furniture retailer specializing in American-made, solid wood furniture, custom upholstery, mattresses, and outdoor furnishings . We have been serving our community since 1987, and we take pride in offering quality products, knowledgeable service, and a personalized shopping experience. This is not a traditional retail sales job. Our team works closely together, takes pride in the showroom, and wears a lot of hats. We are looking for someone who is confident, personable, creative, self-motivated, and genuinely enjoys helping people create beautiful spaces. What You'll Do Work one-on-one with customers to understand their needs, style, budget, and vision Sell high-quality American-made furniture and home furnishings Guide customers through furniture selections, fabrics, finishes, colors, and room layouts Develop relationships with customers and follow up throughout the sales process Create furniture presentations and assist customers with completing rooms Provide an exceptional, personalized customer experience from the first interaction through delivery Generate sales through showroom traffic, follow-up, outreach, and relationship building Maintain knowledge of our products, manufacturers, materials, construction, and design options Assist with merchandising, showroom organization, displays, and keeping the store looking its best Work collaboratively with the entire team to help the business succeed We're Looking For Someone Who Is naturally outgoing, friendly, and comfortable talking with people Has a genuine interest in interior design, furniture, and home décor Is motivated by sales and enjoys working toward goals Can confidently ask for the sale while maintaining a consultative, customer-first approach Has strong communication and follow-up skills Is creative and has a good eye for proportion, color, scale, and style Is organized and able to manage multiple customers and projects Takes initiative and doesn't need to be told what needs to be done Is comfortable working in a small-business environment where everyone pitches in Is dependable, professional, and willing to learn Has previous furniture, interior design, retail sales, or related experience preferred, but not required The Chariho Difference We are a small team, and everyone matters . Compensation Commission-based sales position. Our sales consultants have the opportunity to earn based on their sales performance.
