Position Summary:
The Business Development Representative is responsible for driving portfolio growth of short-term vacation rental properties and expanding strategic partnerships within the assigned market. This role is responsible for acquiring new vacation rental properties by engaging property owners, developers, and referral partners through consultative sales, strong relationships, and a deep understanding of short-term rental markets. The Business Development Representative works cross-functionally with marketing, revenue management, onboarding, and operations teams to ensure newly acquired properties are positioned for long-term success while supporting overall company growth and profitability objectives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the vacation rental industry. This position is responsible for driving homeowner acquisition and portfolio growth throughout the Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Sevierville markets, as well as surrounding communities across the Smoky Mountain region. The successful candidate will cultivate relationships with property owners, identify new business opportunities, and expand the company's presence in one of the nation's premier vacation rental destinations.
Salary:
Base salary with a commission structure.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, prospect, and engage potential property owners and real estate partners to grow the managed portfolio across target markets Generate new business through outbound sales efforts, inbound lead follow-up, referrals, partnerships, and local market networking Present and clearly articulate the company's value proposition, services, and performance metrics to prospective clients Conduct property evaluations and revenue projections to support owner acquisition efforts Negotiate and close management agreements in alignment with company pricing, margin, and growth objectives Build and maintain strong relationships with property owners, brokers, developers, HOAs, and other strategic partners Collaborate with marketing, revenue management, onboarding, and operations teams to ensure a smooth transition for newly acquired properties Track pipeline activity, sales performance, and conversion metrics using CRM tools and internal reporting systems Monitor local market trends, competitive offerings, regulatory considerations, and pricing dynamics to inform sales strategy Represent the company at industry events, real estate functions, and community meetings to build brand awareness and credibility Provide market feedback and insights to leadership to support expansion planning and service enhancements Meet or exceed established acquisition targets and revenue growth goals
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in sales, business development for short term rentals Proven track record of successfully driving business growth and achieving revenue targets Strong understanding of the short-term vacation rental industry and market dynamics Familiarity working with the Microsoft products and CRM tools such as HubSpot Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills Demonstrated ability to thrive independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative, fast-moving environment High level of integrity and professionalism

From $60,000.00 per year
