Junior Technical Sales & Customer Success Representative

  • Training Position Summary We are seeking a motivated Junior Technical Sales & Customer Success Representative to help develop customer relationships, support equipment sales, and ensure customers receive excellent service throughout the ownership experience.
This is primarily a customer-facing position for someone who enjoys building relationships, learning technical products, and helping customers find the right equipment solutions. The successful candidate does not need to be an experienced technician but should have good mechanical aptitude, curiosity, and the ability to understand and clearly explain how equipment works. The role will include prospecting, following up with leads, visiting customers, assisting with equipment demonstrations, supporting deliveries and training, and identifying opportunities for additional equipment, parts, service, and upgrades. Technical and product training will be provided. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone early in their sales career who wants to develop strong technical knowledge and grow into a larger territory sales or account management role. Travel throughout the United States will be required, primarily Monday through Friday, for up to approximately 25 weeks per year. Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Business Development Develop new sales opportunities through prospecting, outbound calls, referrals, industry research, and customer visits Follow up promptly and professionally with incoming leads and customer inquiries Learn the company's equipment and services well enough to confidently explain their features, benefits, and applications Identify customer needs and recommend suitable equipment, parts, service, training, or upgrade solutions Assist with quotations, proposals, demonstrations, and sales presentations Maintain regular contact with existing customers and develop long-term relationships Record customer activity, opportunities, and follow-up requirements in the company's CRM system Work toward established sales activity, opportunity-development, and revenue goals Represent the company professionally at customer locations, demonstrations, trade shows, and industry events Customer Success and Account Support Serve as a consistent point of contact before, during, and after an equipment sale Follow up with customers to ensure they are satisfied and successfully using their equipment Develop an understanding of each customer's operation, challenges, and future equipment needs Coordinate customer requests with the sales, parts, service, production, and technical teams Identify opportunities for additional equipment, replacement units, parts, service, upgrades, and training Help resolve customer concerns through clear communication and internal coordination Build customer confidence through dependable follow-up and responsive service Product Demonstrations, Deliveries, and Training Assist with equipment demonstrations at customer locations, trade shows, and company facilities Participate in equipment deliveries, startup support, and customer training Explain equipment operation, features, routine maintenance, and basic troubleshooting Help ensure customers understand how to operate their equipment safely and effectively Coordinate with experienced technical personnel when advanced setup, calibration, repair, or troubleshooting is required Gather customer feedback and communicate improvement opportunities to internal teams Technical and Product Support Develop a practical working knowledge of the company's equipment, controls, operating systems, and applications Provide customers with basic phone, email, and video-based product support Ask appropriate troubleshooting questions and help resolve straightforward operational issues Document technical concerns accurately and connect customers with the appropriate technical specialist when necessary Assist with basic equipment inspections, setup verification, and operational checks Stay current on product developments, common applications, industry trends, and competitive equipment Qualifications One to three years of experience in sales, customer service, construction equipment, industrial products, automotive, agriculture, manufacturing, or a related field is beneficial Strong interest in developing a career in technical or equipment sales Good mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn how equipment operates Confident, professional, and comfortable speaking with customers Strong communication, relationship-building, and follow-up skills Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple customer opportunities Comfortable making outbound calls and initiating conversations with prospective customers Able to work independently while maintaining communication with the internal team Comfortable working around trucks, machinery, construction equipment, and active job sites Basic computer proficiency and willingness to use CRM, quoting, and service-documentation systems Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the United States Preferred Experience Experience in one or more of the following areas would be beneficial but is not required: Equipment, automotive, industrial, agricultural, or construction-related sales Concrete production, volumetric mixers, material placement, or construction equipment Mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or equipment troubleshooting Customer training or product demonstrations Business development, inside sales, or account management CRM and sales-pipeline management Trade shows, customer events, or industry networking Work Environment Combination of office work, phone and email sales activity, customer visits, equipment demonstrations, and job-site support Regular interaction with customers, operators, technicians, managers, and business owners Hands-on exposure to trucks, machinery, and construction-related equipment Travel throughout the United States, typically Monday through Friday, for up to approximately 25 weeks per year Occasional work at trade shows, industry events, or customer demonstrations Customer-focused and team-oriented working environment Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is personable, ambitious, mechanically curious, and eager to build a career in technical sales.
They enjoy meeting people, asking questions, learning how equipment works, and helping customers solve practical problems. They do not need to be an experienced service technician. More importantly, they should be able to develop relationships, recognize sales opportunities, communicate technical information clearly, and follow through on commitments. This role is well suited to someone who may have experience in equipment, construction, automotive, agriculture, manufacturing, parts, or customer service and wants to move into a professional sales career. Compensation Pay:
$20.00
