Business Development Coordinator → Business Development Manager Build Your Career in Business Development Parkway Construction is looking for a driven, outgoing, and competitive Business Development Coordinator to join our team. This is our entry-level Business Development position and is designed for someone who wants to build a career in sales and business development. You'll work alongside experienced business development and construction leaders, learn our industry and clients, and develop the skills needed to eventually move into a Business Development Manager role . What You'll Do Your primary goal will be simple: identify potential clients, start conversations, and create opportunities for our Business Development team.
You will:
Research and identify prospective clients and business opportunities. Build and maintain targeted prospect lists. Prospect through phone calls, email, LinkedIn, social media, and other outreach channels . Make outbound calls to prospective clients and decision-makers. Create personalized and professional email outreach campaigns. Use LinkedIn and other platforms to identify and connect with key contacts. Qualify potential opportunities and gather information about upcoming projects and client needs. Schedule introductory meetings and appointments for Business Development Managers and company leaders. Follow up consistently with prospects and nurture relationships over time. Maintain accurate prospecting activity, contact information, and follow-up notes in our CRM. Work with the Business Development team to develop creative approaches for reaching new clients. Learn Parkway's markets, services, clients, competitors, and overall business strategy. Participate in client meetings, industry events, networking opportunities, and business development activities as you grow in the role. What We're Looking For Minimum 1 year of sales experience . B2B sales experience strongly preferred. Strong phone presence and confidence speaking with people you haven't met before. Excellent written communication skills. Comfortable making outbound calls and initiating conversations. Persistent and willing to follow up without being afraid of hearing "no." Naturally curious and able to ask good questions. Organized and able to manage multiple prospects and follow-up activities. Comfortable using email, LinkedIn, social media, and other technology as prospecting tools. Competitive, self-motivated, and goal-oriented. Professional, positive, and able to represent Parkway well with prospective clients. Bachelor's degree preferred, but we value ability, drive, and results . Where This Role Can Take You We aren't looking for someone who wants to stay an Inside Sales Coordinator forever.
