Produce / Food Distribution About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Sales Assistant to support our sales team in McAllen, Texas . This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with customers, and wants to grow within the sales and produce distribution industry. The Sales Assistant will play a key role in daily sales operations, customer communication, order management, and internal coordination. Key Responsibilities Support sales representatives with daily order entry, confirmations, and follow-ups Communicate with customers regarding pricing, availability, and delivery updates Coordinate with operations, logistics, and accounting teams to ensure smooth order flow Maintain accurate sales records, customer files, and pricing information Assist with invoicing, credits, and basic reporting Handle incoming calls, emails, and customer inquiries professionally Help resolve order discrepancies and customer issues in a timely manner Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework a plus) Previous experience in sales support, customer service, or logistics preferred Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication skills (Spanish/English bilingual strongly preferred) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, email, and basic office software Ability to multitask and work efficiently under deadlines Experience in produce, food distribution, or wholesale sales is a plus What We Offer Competitive hourly pay (based on experience) Growth opportunities within the sales organization Hands-on experience in the produce and food distribution industry Supportive, team-oriented work environment
