Full Job Description Showroom Specialist Company:
Cabinet Corner Location:
American Fork, Utah Job Type:
Full-Time Compensation:
$22-$27/hour, depending on experience About Cabinet Corner Cabinet Corner is a growing cabinet company serving homeowners, contractors, builders, remodelers, investors, and other industry professionals throughout Utah. We're looking for a Showroom Specialist who can become an important part of our customer experience and sales support team. As our Showroom Specialist, you'll play an important role in both the customer experience and the day-to-day success of our sales team. You'll welcome customers, learn about their projects and connect them with the right salesperson, assist with preparing bids, coordinate schedules and installations, and help keep the many details of a busy showroom organized and moving forward. Most importantly, we're looking for someone who takes initiative and gets things done. The Role You'll be the first point of contact for customers visiting our showroom and many of the people calling our office. You'll greet customers, answer basic questions about our products and process, and use a simple qualification process to learn more about their project. When a customer is a good sales opportunity, you'll connect them with the appropriate sales consultant. You'll also play an important role behind the scenes. A key responsibility will be helping our sales team prepare bids. You'll learn how to read cabinet layouts and identify the cabinets, panels, trim, fillers, accessories, and other components required for each project. You'll organize that information so our sales consultants can review the proposal, work with the customer, and focus their time on selling. You'll also help coordinate internal appointments and installation calendars, answer phones, maintain paperwork, and handle general administrative responsibilities. This position isn't defined by a checklist. We're a growing company, and every day brings different questions, priorities, and challenges. We need someone who is comfortable figuring things out, taking ownership, and handling the small things before they become big things. What You'll DoShowroom & Customer Support Greet customers and create a friendly, professional first impression Learn our products and processes well enough to answer common customer questions Ask qualifying questions to understand a customer's project, needs, and timeline Identify qualified sales opportunities and connect them with the appropriate sales consultant Assist customers visiting for appointments, pickups, payments, or other project needs Answer incoming phone calls and handle basic questions when possible Route calls and customers to the appropriate team member when additional help is needed Schedule showroom appointments and help maintain team calendars Bid & Sales Preparation Learn to read and understand cabinet layouts and design plans Review layouts and identify the cabinets and components required for each project Break down designs into cabinets, panels, trim, fillers, accessories, and other necessary items Prepare accurate bid information for the sales team Double-check bids for completeness and potential missing items Work with sales consultants when additional information or clarification is needed Develop a strong understanding of our cabinet lines, products, pricing, and options The goal is to take much of the administrative preparation involved in quoting a project off the sales team so they can spend more time working directly with customers and closing sales. Scheduling & Coordination Maintain internal calendars and appointments Create and manage calendar invitations for installations and other scheduled work Coordinate scheduling information with our installation crews Help make sure our team knows which crews are going to which projects and when Communicate scheduling changes to the appropriate people Keep upcoming installations and appointments organized and visible to the team Administrative Support Answer and direct incoming phone calls Organize and file customer and project paperwork Maintain accurate customer and project information Assist with customer paperwork and documentation Help with basic data entry and office organization Assist the sales and operations teams with additional tasks as needed The Person We're Looking For This part matters just as much to us as your previous experience. Cabinet Corner is growing quickly. That means there are days when everyone is busy and there isn't always someone available to tell you exactly what to do next. We're looking for someone who is comfortable in that environment. You see something that needs to be handled—you handle it. A customer has a question you haven't heard before—you find the answer. Something on the schedule doesn't look right—you investigate it. You notice paperwork hasn't been completed—you follow up. A process isn't working—you bring us an idea for how to make it better. We don't expect you to know everything on day one, and we'll train you on our products, systems, and processes. What we can't train as easily is initiative, ownership, and follow-through. We're looking for someone who: Takes initiative without constantly waiting for direction Is resourceful and comfortable figuring things out Can roll with changing priorities throughout the day Notices the little things others may overlook Takes ownership of a task and follows it through to completion Isn't afraid to ask questions but also attempts to find answers independently Stays calm when several things need attention at once Is organized and detail-oriented Is friendly, confident, and professional with customers Is comfortable working with numbers, measurements, and pricing Learns new products and software quickly Communicates clearly through phone, email, and in person Enjoys being the person others can depend on Experience with cabinets, construction, estimating, design, administrative support, or sales support is a plus, but we're willing to train the right person. What Success Looks Like A great Showroom Specialist becomes someone the entire team can depend on. Customers are greeted and taken care of. Qualified leads quickly get into the hands of our salespeople. Bids are prepared accurately. Phones are answered. Appointments and installation schedules stay organized. Paperwork gets handled. When the unexpected things inevitably come up throughout the day, you don't simply add them to someone else's plate—you help figure out what needs to happen next and keep things moving. The result is a better experience for our customers and a sales team that can spend more time focused on selling and serving customers. Opportunity for Growth This position is a great opportunity to learn the cabinet industry from the inside out. You'll gain hands-on experience with cabinet products, kitchen layouts, estimating, project coordination, customer service, scheduling, and sales. As your knowledge and abilities grow, there will be opportunities to take on additional responsibilities and increase your earning potential. A successful Showroom Specialist could eventually grow into estimating, design, project coordination, operations, or cabinet sales with commission-based earning potential. We're looking for someone who wants more than just a front-desk job. We want someone who wants to become an important part of Cabinet Corner and grow with us.
