Job Description

Remarkable Things is a nationally recognized, award-winning American Craft Gallery, and we're looking for a full-time Team Lead to join our team. As Team Lead, you'll help create an exceptional shopping experience while supporting the day-to-day operations of the gallery. You'll work alongside a small, collaborative team, leading by example on the sales floor, coaching staff, and helping ensure the store runs smoothly. Our gallery features a carefully curated collection of handcrafted art, jewelry, home décor, and gifts made by talented artists working in small studios across the United States. Unlike traditional retail, you'll be representing unique, artisan-made work rather than mass-produced name brands.
Responsibilities include:
Providing outstanding customer service and creating a welcoming shopping experience. Leading and supporting the sales team during daily operations. Coaching and mentoring team members while helping foster a positive, collaborative work environment. Assisting with merchandising, product displays, and maintaining an attractive gallery presentation. Overseeing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures as needed. Handling phone inquiries and assisting customers with custom and special orders. Communicating directly with artists regarding custom requests and product information. Helping ensure operational excellence and contributing to the continued success of the gallery. We are open year-round and offer competitive pay, scheduling flexibility, employee discounts, and the opportunity to work in a creative, inspiring environment.
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous retail experience, with leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Strong customer service and communication skills. The ability to motivate and support a small team. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. An appreciation for art, fine craft, home décor, and handmade products. A positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to lead by example. If you're a people-focused leader who enjoys building great customer experiences and working with beautiful American-made art and fine craft, we'd love to hear from you. Please email our Store Manager, Rachel, with your resume and a brief letter of interest. Join our team and be part of something truly remarkable!
