Used Car Buyer & Wholesale Manager MB Motors LLC | Bellingham, WA | Full-time | In person Know how to buy the right car, price it accurately, and get a dealer to say yes? MB Motors is looking for an experienced automotive professional who can turn that judgment into profitable acquisitions, wholesale sales, and faster-moving inventory. This is a hands-on buying and wholesale role, not a retail floor-sales position. You will build dealer relationships, source vehicles, negotiate transactions, and help make the decisions that keep inventory moving. Your earning opportunity grows with your results. Compensation Illustrative annual earning potential:

approximately $50,000

•120,000, with uncapped upside. The compensation structure models approximately $50,000 annually at lower production and approximately $80,000

•120,000 at strong performance. Your results in vehicle purchasing, wholesale sales, profitability, and inventory management determine your earnings. This is a performance-based employee position with no fixed base salary. These figures annualize illustrative monthly results; they are not guaranteed earnings, a minimum, a cap, or a claim about typical employee income. Applicable wage-and-hour requirements apply. The full compensation plan will be discussed privately during the interview process. What you will do Buy with discipline: Identify and evaluate acquisition opportunities from auctions, wholesalers, and private sellers within dealership approval guidelines.

Appraise accurately:

Assess market value, vehicle history, condition, expected reconditioning costs, and resale opportunity before recommending a purchase or sale.

Sell wholesale inventory:

Build an active buyer network, market vehicles through appropriate wholesale channels, follow up consistently, and negotiate transactions.

Improve inventory turn:

Prioritize aged vehicles and take action before inventory becomes a larger aging problem, while protecting viable retail opportunities.

Protect profitability:

Make informed pricing recommendations and understand the full cost of each vehicle.

Coordinate execution:

Work with service, sales, titles, and accounting to keep vehicles, documentation, and transactions moving.

Track your results:

Maintain accurate purchase and sales records, buyer communications, and inventory updates using dealership systems.

What you bring Relevant experience:

At least five years of automotive wholesale, vehicle purchasing, or used-car management experience, including hands-on appraisal and negotiation.

Proven judgment:

The ability to explain why a vehicle is a good buy, what it needs, and how you expect to sell it.

Relationship-building ability:

Strong communication and follow-through with dealers, wholesalers, auction contacts, and private sellers. An established buyer network is a significant advantage.

Results and accountability:

A track record of moving inventory, protecting gross profit, and keeping accurate records.

Technology skills:

Comfort with valuation tools, auction and wholesale platforms, and dealership inventory software.

Driving eligibility:

A valid driver's license and a driving record that meets dealership insurance requirements; the role includes vehicle driving.
