Job Description

Sales Administration (Arbor Vitae) Full-time shift Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Summary The Sales Administration will provide support to the Contractor Sales Representatives, Millwork Specialists, and Cabinetry Design and Sales Specialists. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Regular, predictable, and dependable attendance is an essential function of this position and is required to effectively perform the job's duties and responsibilities. This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time. Enter quotes and sales orders in point-of-sale system; enter purchase orders for special order products; place orders; review and acknowledge with suppliers. Coordinate the receipt of products from suppliers and the delivery to customers. Identify and pull products from the retail store to be included in deliveries to customers. Process returns from customers; receive confirmation of materials returned for purposes of issuing credit and return them to suppliers; review open returns for completion. Communicate order status and issues to sales team. Answer and direct telephone calls and emails with a strong focus on customer service; serve as a key point of contact and resource for customers. Assist in organizing and maintaining accurate customer file systems and correspondence; retrieve data and other records upon request. Copy, scan, print blueprints and plan documents. Participate in training as it relates to systems and suppliers products. Assist in maintaining product arrangements and customer supplies in Showroom areas. As needed, use point-of-sales system for customer sales; apply knowledge of Company SKU codes and pricing; accept customer payment by cash, credit card, or internal credit; obtain customer information for site delivery; maintain confidentiality of customer information. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Previous retail and/or customer service experience required. Knowledge and experience with inventory software, order processing systems, building materials and/or construction industry highly preferred. Previous experience with estimating desirable. Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee works in an environment where he/she is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet with some moderate noise around warehouse mechanical equipment and vehicles. The employee will be required to wear OSHA-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, hearing protection, safety-toed footwear, safety vest, and hard hats, as required.
