Job Description
This is a first shift position. American Construction Materials (ACM), a strategic business unit of ABC Supply, produces a wide array of metal building materials including trim coil, edge metal, gutter systems, and a variety of other metal accessories. ACM is proud to be an employee-first company and has won the Gallup Great Workplace Award for 20 consecutive years. ACM is seeking an experienced Customer Service / Inside Sales Representative. In this role, you will be responsible for increasing sales volume and market share. In addition, you will act as a liaison between ACM and its customers, ensuring all concerns are addressed and needs are met in a timely manner. Specific duties may include:
Recording sales orders via JDE ERP systems Initiating credit requests Managing projects as needed to improve the profitability of the company Maximizing on-time delivery performance and customer satisfaction Handling calls and customer service issues Assisting in developing stocking programs Specific qualifications include: College degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Previous sales and/or customer service, including an understanding of manufacturing and purchasing lead times, is preferred Ability to read prints and interpret drawings Previous ERP experience is preferred, specifically JDE Ability to multitask and analyze quickly Superior time management and organizational skillsPhysical Demand:
Associate must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and up to 100 lbs. with assistance. Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift for a full 8-hour day.Work Environment:
100% manufacturing setting Associate must comply with assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirement in varies areas, including but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and safety shoes. Associate will have exposure to typical working conditions within the manufacturing environment, including but not limited to, seasonal temperature changes, occasional exposure to exhaust fumes, dirt, dust, debris, and grease, moving forklift equipment, and pinch points on machinery. Associate must comply with assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirement in varies areas, including but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and safety shoes.
