Job Description

Floral City Beverage is a family owned and operated beverage distributor founded in 1938 serving Monroe County and Southern Wayne County, Michigan. Floral City Beverage is the proud distributor of all Anheuser Busch-InBev brands as well as Boston Beer (Samuel Adams, Angry Orchard, Truly, Twisted Tea), FIFCO (Labatt, Seagrams, Lipton Hard Tea), New Belgium, Good Boy Vodka, Carbliss, Dos Equis, Monster Brewing, Arizona Hard Tea, Happy Dad, Brew Detroit, Sazerac Malt and Blake's Cider families of beer and malt beverages as well as several non-alcoholic drinks including Liquid Death and Bucked Up. Job Summary The Account Supervisor is responsible for calling on off & on-premise retailers and achieving sales goals through sales and distribution objectives, inventory management, product quality, and merchandising. They are responsible for adhering to company policies, procedures, MLCC guidelines and supplier agreements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manage and develop existing customers to discuss their needs and to explain how our products can meet them. Provide excellent customer service and establish long term relationships with customers Answer customer's questions about products, prices, availability and product uses. Maintain customer records, using automated systems. Identify correct products and or assist customers in making product selections based on customer's needs. Visit establishments to evaluate needs and to promote product Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information such as selling strategies and marketing information Prepare sales presentations and proposals that explain product features and benefits Effectively convey new products and pricing information to the customer as well as delivery schedules. Monitor stock rotation and product quality according to company and supplier standards. Face and stock all packages on active sales floor Plan and build product displays in retail stores and make recommendations to retailers regarding product displays, promotional programs and advertising. Place paper and permanent point of sale as appropriate Communicate closely with drivers, merchandisers and management Monitor and understand all competitive pricing and products Study information about new products to ensure market knowledge and be able to make product recommendations Attend sales and trade meeting, and read related publications in order to obtain information about market conditions, business trends and industry developments. Complete weekly and/or monthly surveys Complete product and development training as required. All other duties as assigned
Qualifications Education:
Preferred Associate's Degree (two year college or technical school)
Experience:
One to two years related experience Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with many different types of people Attention to detail and strong organizational skills Pleasant personality, appearance, well-organized and problem-solving skills are needed Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Strong analytical skills and numeric ability Self-starter, highly motivated with a high productivity level Ability to attain a Michigan Liquor Control Commission license All of our positions require a valid State Driver's License with a good driving record All of our positions must pass a drug screen
