Full Job Description Responsibilities:

Stock and replenish fresh fruits and vegetables throughout the shift Build attractive, full, and organized produce displays Rotate product using proper FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures Check produce regularly for freshness, quality, and appearance Remove damaged, spoiled, overripe, or unsellable merchandise Maintain proper pricing and signage throughout the department Keep displays faced, full, clean, and shoppable Merchandise new arrivals and promotional items to maximize sales Help create eye-catching seasonal and promotional displays Break down produce loads and move product from the backroom to the sales floor Organize and maintain the produce cooler and backstock areas Clean produce cases, tables, shelves, floors, and work areas Monitor inventory and communicate low-stock or quality concerns to management Assist customers with locating products and provide friendly customer service Follow all food safety, sanitation, and store procedures Work efficiently and safely in a fast-paced grocery environment Assist in other areas of the store when needed

Requirements:

Applicants must:

Have reliable transportation and a strong record of punctuality and attendance Be available and ready to work at their scheduled start time Be able to work assigned shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays Be comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift Be able to stand and walk for extended periods and frequently bend, squat, reach, push, pull, and lift Be comfortable working in refrigerated coolers and varying temperatures Have a strong sense of urgency and be able to complete tasks efficiently Be able to work independently and stay productive without constant supervision Be willing to take initiative and recognize what needs to be done without always being asked Follow directions, procedures, food-safety standards, and merchandising expectations Be able to properly rotate merchandise and consistently check product for freshness and quality Maintain clean, organized, well-stocked, and visually appealing produce displays Be comfortable handling damaged or spoiled produce and maintaining department cleanliness Be able to safely use carts, pallet jacks, and other stocking equipment after training Provide friendly and helpful customer service Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members Be willing to accept feedback, learn new tasks, and adjust priorities as needed Be a team player and willing to assist in other areas of the store when necessary Attendance & Reliability Dependable attendance is essential for this position. Our Produce Department depends on team members arriving on time and ready to work. Frequent call-outs, tardiness, or failure to report for scheduled shifts can significantly impact department operations and the rest of the team. Preferred Experience Previous experience in produce, grocery, stocking, merchandising, retail, warehouse, or other physically active work is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates reliability, a strong work ethic, urgency, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
