Position Overview Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking a dedicated Stockroom Clerk to join a dynamic team in California. The Stockroom Clerk plays a crucial role in managing inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels, and facilitating the smooth flow of goods. This position requires a reliable individual with a keen eye for detail and excellent organizational skills.
Responsibilities Picking and Kitting:
Pull requested materials or products from stockroom shelves to fulfill internal department requests or customer orders. Accurately document and label incoming and outgoing goods.
Staging:
Prepare work orders for production, ensuring items are securely packed, properly labeled, and dispatched efficiently.
Replenishment:
Transfer goods to production floors or other operating departments to maintain a steady workflow.
Tracking:
Maintain real-time inventory records using warehouse management software (MRP).
Cycle Counting:
Conduct regular physical audits and cycle counts to verify that actual stock matches MRP records.
Labeling and Put-Away:
Tag or label inventory with identifying codes (e.g., SKUs, barcodes) and transport goods to designated, logical storage locations.
Reconciliation:
Investigate inventory discrepancies, report shortages, and document shrinkage or damaged goods.
Housekeeping:
Maintain a clean, safe, and highly organized stockroom to maximize space and efficiency. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. 2+ years of stockroom or warehouse experience preferred. Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems or shipping software (e.g., MRP systems). Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word). Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Experience with MRP/ERP Software systems. Required Work Hours Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Benefits The position offers a competitive pay range of $20 - $26 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Additional Details This position requires work in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and physical activity. Proper safety equipment and training will be provided. Job duties may expand based on business needs.
