The Produce Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring that customers have access to fresh, high-quality fruits and vegetables. This position involves maintaining the produce department's cleanliness and organization, which directly impacts customer satisfaction and sales. The Produce Clerk will be responsible for stocking, rotating, and displaying products in an appealing manner to attract customers. Additionally, this role requires monitoring inventory levels and assisting in ordering to ensure that the department is well-stocked with seasonal and popular items. Ultimately, the Produce Clerk contributes to a positive shopping experience by providing excellent customer service and product knowledge.Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs). Basic knowledge of fruits and vegetables.Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a grocery or retail environment. Familiarity with food safety standards. Customer service experience.Responsibilities:
Stock and rotate produce items to ensure freshness and quality. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the produce department. Assist customers with inquiries and provide product recommendations.
