Position Summary:
Building Material Coordinator handles a full scope of yard and warehouse responsibilities. This reliable team member is responsible for use of forklift operation, loading and unloading all lumber and building materials, receiving and shipping, picking orders, stocking and counting inventory, monitoring and maintaining quality of goods and products, and completing all necessary paperwork thoroughly and accurately. This team member also engages in customer service activities. Upholds the Moore Lumber & Hardware Values Statement. Primary responsibility for all positions with Moore Lumber & Hardware is to Wow Every Customer. Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities Able to communicate professionally with customers and team members. Skilled at providing prompt, friendly and attentive customer service. Strong organizational skills with a passion for details. Willing to learn all areas of the facilities and help cross train others. Proven track record of being a team player. Knowledge and experience of various departments is strongly desired. A continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required. Availability must be flexible including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Aptitude for industry technology and software.
Physical Requirements:
The minimum physical requirements for this position include: Must be at least 18 years of age. Ability to stand for an extended period of time, walk, reach, and bend to perform job duties. Ability to lift up to 97.5 pounds while moving in a repetitive motion, twisting, turning on uneven and sometimes slippery surfaces, carry awkward objects both alone and with others in the yard and on job sites. Ability to work on elevated platforms and ladders, and at heights near open spaces where the risk of falling may be present. Ability to repetitively climb on and off fork trucks, delivery trucks, and climb stairs at times while carrying awkward or heavy materials while using proper lifting techniques.
