Responsibilities Place stock orders, communicate with vendors, expedite critical purchases, and follow up on outstanding orders. Review and investigate receiving questions and discrepancies for stock items. Receive, record, identify, and properly store incoming materials and stock items. Issue stock items accurately according to established procedures. Perform daily cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy. Research and correct inventory discrepancies in applicable systems. Maintain accurate inventory records and data in the Maximo system. Work with Engineering and Maintenance to establish and maintain new inventory items. Process repairable items and maintain appropriate storage areas for repair materials. Obtain required vendor return authorization (RA) numbers and complete associated documentation. Properly package, identify, and prepare repair items for shipment. Maintain the stockroom in a neat, orderly, and organized condition. Locate required stock items efficiently, including when limited identifying information is available. Provide financial and inventory-related reports to plant personnel as assigned. Assist Accounts Payable with invoice discrepancies related to stockroom purchases and receipts. Provide repair and maintenance parts for preventive maintenance activities, shutdowns, and other planned work. Maintain proper inventory records and controls to minimize shortages and support maintenance operations. Communicate effectively with employees, vendors, and other departments to resolve issues. Perform other job-related duties assigned by the Supervisor to support department goals. Comply with applicable FDA/GMP, USDA, OSHA, company, and client policies, procedures, and guidelines. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Computer proficiency and ability to work with desktop and network applications. Ability to learn and effectively use complex computerized inventory management systems, including Maximo. Strong data-entry and recordkeeping skills. Good written and verbal communication skills. Analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to investigate and resolve order, receiving, and inventory discrepancies. Ability to interpret inventory information and identify the location and availability of stock items. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and interruptions while maintaining accuracy. Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills when working with employees at different organizational levels. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
