This role plays an important part in ensuring the beverage department is prepared, organized, and operating efficiently. Duties & ResponsibilitiesEvent Support Assist with unloading and loading beverage items for events. Assist with event build-outs and dispatching, including completing related paperwork. Assist with the return inventory process and submit documentation to the Accounting Department when requested. Restock and organize returned product inventory. Build event beverage orders and double-check all items before loading. Daily Operations Open and prepare the beverage department for the day's operations. Complete assigned bar crate cleaning tasks. Receive and verify vendor deliveries, checking for accuracy, expiration dates, and missing or damaged items. Forward vendor invoices to the Manager for review and processing. Assist with alcohol tastings, including setup, breakdown, and inventory of items. Maintain weekly and monthly inventory of all beverage products, including sodas, juices, liquor, wine, beer, and related supplies. Complete assigned daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and maintenance tasks. Review specialty drink and mocktail needs, confirm ingredient availability, and assist with preparation. Keep the beverage department clean, organized, and properly stocked. Equipment & Supply Support Assist with maintaining the water filtration system, including monitoring TDS levels, pour speed, pressure, and tank fill times. Clean and maintain water bottles, specialty drink containers, gallon jugs, and 5-gallon coolers. Inspect bar crates and beverage room equipment, including juicers, and report issues to the Manager. Notify the Manager of equipment, procurement, inventory, or supply needs. Specialty & Client Requests Assist with pickups of client-specific beverage needs from vendors or private residences. Assist with or complete pickups from distributors and local businesses as needed. Support special beverage requests and other department needs as assigned. Qualifications & Experience Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience with CaterXpert is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Scissor Lift Certification, or willingness to obtain certification. Ability to obtain any additional required certifications. Willingness and ability to learn mixology and specialty beverage preparation skills. Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to follow established procedures and deadlines. Work Requirements Flexible schedule with availability Monday through Sunday as needed. Must be available for overtime, particularly during peak seasons in Spring and Fall. Typical schedule includes Saturdays, with one weekday off and Sundays off. Ability to safely lift up to 40 pounds. Full range of mobility required for an 8-hour shift. Ability to work in a fast-paced, event-driven environment and adapt to changing operational needs.
