Raleigh, NC Essential Job Duties:
The primary purpose of the Stock Clerk Technician is to oversee inventory operations for Fountain Dining Hall. In this role, you aren't just moving boxes; you are the backbone of our supply chain. You will manage critical inventory, lead student staff, and work directly with our culinary leadership to ensure every ingredient and supply is exactly where it needs to be.
Key Responsibilities Inventory & Logistics:
Rotate stock using FIFO principles; maintain impeccable standards for cleanliness and organization in stock rooms, coolers, and freezers.
Procurement:
Take the lead on ordering all chemical, paper, and beverage products.
Data Management:
Effectively utilize Netmenu for inventory tracking, invoice receiving, and issuing paperwork.
Quality Control:
Track product shortages, damages, and mispicks. Communicate these issues to the Purchasing Specialist to secure proper credits.
Administration:
Maintain the "Food Service Rewards" program by entering data for credit issuance.
Leadership:
Train and mentor temporary and student stock room staff to ensure operational excellence.
Collaboration:
Partner closely with Chefs and the Purchasing Specialist to ensure accurate and timely product pulls.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
Strength:
Must be able to routinely lift 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Agility:
Position requires frequent bending, twisting, pulling, and pushing.
Conditioning:
Ability to work in extreme conditions, including the high heat of a commercial kitchen and the cold of walk-in freezers/coolers.

Due to operational needs of the NC State Dining department, an employee may be assigned to work in any NC State Dining department including, but not limited to special events.
Perform other duties as assigned to ensure NC State Dining business needs are met.
Minimum Experience/Education:
High school diploma or equivalency.
Required Qualifications:

Experience using food service ordering systems such as Netmenu.
Accurate data entry skills and the ability to learn department-specific software and email systems.
A strong commitment to meeting deadlines and working a flexible schedule when business needs dictate.
Capacity to facilitate workflow, shift priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
