Stocker Job Description This role focuses on receiving incoming products, stocking shelves, and maintaining accurate inventory in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You work on your feet for full 8-hour shifts, performing repetitive tasks with consistency and attention to detail. Reliable transportation and a stable, consistent work history are important for success in this position. Responsibilities Receive incoming products and verify quantities and item details for accuracy. Stock shelves and storage locations in the warehouse and retail areas according to established procedures. Use inventory tools and RF scanners to track, update, and maintain accurate inventory records. Monitor stock levels and ensure items are replenished in a timely manner. Inspect products for damage or defects and follow procedures for handling any discrepancies. Pick and pack orders according to written and verbal instructions. Handle materials safely using pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment. Stay organized and maintain clean, orderly stocking and receiving areas. Work on your feet for the entire 8-hour shift, performing repetitive stocking and inventory tasks. Collaborate and cross-train with other stockers and warehouse team members to support different areas as needed. Essential Skills Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Ability to perform repetitive tasks for an entire 8-hour shift while standing and walking. Reliable transportation to consistently arrive on time for scheduled shifts. Demonstrated stable work history with fewer than two jobs in the last 12 months. Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions. Basic inventory handling skills, including counting and verifying stock. Comfort using RF scanners or similar handheld devices for inventory and order picking. Capability to safely handle materials and operate pallet jacks and related warehouse equipment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Order picking experience using an RF scan gun. Experience with warehouse distribution and warehouse inventory processes. Background in retail stocking or shelf replenishment. Familiarity with packing, picking, and material handling in a distribution center. Willingness to cross-train in different warehouse and stocking areas. Why Work Here? The role is on first shift, with a flexible start time between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., ending between approximately 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. The environment is fast-paced, structured, and focused on safety and efficiency, with cross-training opportunities across stocking and other warehouse functions. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Batavia, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
