Summary The individuals who perform this job provide extraordinary shopping experiences to our guests and stock merchandise. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Including, but not limited to, the following: 1. Know and actively demonstrate, daily, our Company Mission Statement and Core Values. 2. Maintain uniform standard, as detailed in the Employee Manual, for all worked hours. 3. Know and actively demonstrate superior product knowledge. 4. Greet guests and engage in conversation with a smile and a helpful demeanor, remembering that the guest always comes first. 5. Recommend merchandise based on the guests needs or desires, with a focus to suggest our in-house brands. 6. Answer guests questions concerning price and use of merchandise. 7. Create client relationships with regular guests. 8. If needed, carry product to register counters and carry out products for guests. 9. May be asked to run a cash register as business dictates. 10. May be asked to receive as business dictates. 11. Prepare promotional events as necessary. 12. Set up displays or arrange merchandise in floor stacks, on counters or tables, to promote sales. 13. Front merchandise and rotate stock for freshness and stock shelves with product. 14. Maintain neat and orderly sales floor and back stock. 15. Clean shelves, bottles, aisles, and tables; look for product not stocked properly to avoid trips and falls. 16. Maintain fresh and readable price tags on all products. 17. Provide feedback to management regarding fast or slow-moving product, stock levels, out of stocks, and department needs. 18. Prepare sales floor and storage areas for inventory and assist in the inventory process if needed. 19. Properly use and maintain computers and RF scanner equipment. 20. Seek to continually improve related skills and knowledge to contribute to profitability and productivity. 21. Avoid conversations with coworkers when guests are present. 22. Limit use of personal cell phone to work related activities only while on the sales floor. 23. Carry out directives of management efficiently. 24. Fulfill responsibilities with care and attention to detail. 25. Practice teamwork and cooperation with others. 26. Possess time management skills and be able to prioritize tasks. 27. Ability to manage stress in a fast-paced environment. 28. Work in accordance with all safety regulations of Specs Family Partners and OSHA. 29. Constantly stand, lift, carry, walk, and bend, and reach products routinely weighing 50 pounds or more. Use arms, hands, and fingers to feel, handle, reach, and lift. Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds or more occasionally using proper lifting techniques and tools. Push and/or pull 50-100 pounds or more regularly. Communicate with and understand team members and guests. See product and signage. 30. Other projects and tasks assigned by management. Yes, you may have to clean the bathroom. 31. Attendance and timeliness are required. This is not a remote sales job. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities. You must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds or more occasionally using proper lifting techniques and tools. You must be able to push and/or pull 50 to 100 pounds or more regularly. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. This job also requires physical attendance based on a schedule made by management which may vary week to week based on the needs of the business. Work Environment and Environmental Conditions We provide a fun and positive environment in which to serve our guests. You may be exposed to outside weather conditions while youre delivering extraordinary service. The noise level is usually moderate. You must maintain a valid TABC Beverage Sellers Permit, and in some cases, a valid Food Handlers Permit. The TABC course takes 2-3 hours to complete, and we will pay you for your time spent in the course up to 3 hours.
