Category Assistive Technology Specialist Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact supporting students as an Assistive Technology Specialist working directly with profoundly orthopedically impaired children in a dynamic educational setting near San Francisco, CA. This in-person, contract role requires expertise in evaluating and recommending essential medical and assistive technology that empowers students to access their education more fully. This position requires your presence on-site two days per week, although most weeks the needs may be met in as little as one day. You'll collaborate closely with educators, therapists, and families to identify appropriate technology solutions tailored to each student's unique needs, ensuring meaningful participation and improved quality of life.
Key Qualifications:
Significant experience as an Assistive Technology Specialist Demonstrated knowledge in the field of assistive technology, particularly related to orthopedically impaired populations Certification as an Assistive Technology Specialist, other than solely completed CEUs (national certification not required) Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Comfortable working collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams Compassion for profoundly orthopedically impaired students and dedication to supporting their potential
