Technical Sales Associate Reports to: Sales and Product Manager Key relationships: No direct reports
Primary Purpose:
Ensures accurate, timely and efficient execution of the sales process while strengthening customer engagement, and building technical and customer-facing capabilities that support business growth. The Technical Sales Associate role provides opportunities to develop technical, commercial, and customer-facing skills.
The successful individual will:
  • Develop a working knowledge of X-ray products, applications, and target markets.
  • Build confidence and effectiveness in customer-facing interactions.
  • Progress from supporting sales activities to managing assigned opportunities with increasing independence.
  • Develop commercial awareness and an understanding of the sales process from lead generation through order fulfilment.
  • Build the technical and relationship-management skills required for future territory or account management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities Standards of Performance Execute inside sales processes including quotation support, order entry, order acknowledgement, and CRM/ERP data management Quotations, orders, and acknowledgements processed accurately and within agreed timelines. CRM and ERP records maintained accurately and completely. Maintain accurate, timely records of customer interactions, opportunities, and sales activities within internal systems Customer and opportunity data maintained accurately and supports reliable pipeline reporting. Coordinate with production, logistics, and finance to ensure accurate order fulfillment and delivery schedules Orders fulfilled with no avoidable delays resulting from incomplete or inaccurate information. Serve as a primary point of contact for inbound customer inquiries, providing timely and professional responses Customer inquiries addressed accurately, professionally, and within agreed response times. Support preparation of quotations, proposals, and commercial documentation for the sales team Quotations, proposals, and commercial documents delivered accurately and within agreed deadlines. Develop working knowledge of X-ray products, applications, and target markets to support customer needs Demonstrates increasing product, application, and market knowledge in support of customer requirements. Collaborate with engineering and product management to understand product capabilities and support application-based quoting Proposed solutions accurately reflect product capabilities and customer requirements. Support pipeline development activities including lead qualification, opportunity tracking, and follow-up Qualified opportunities progress through the sales process with timely updates and follow-up actions. Identify opportunities within existing accounts and assist in developing customer engagement strategies Contributes to growth within existing accounts through proactive customer engagement and opportunity identification. Participate in customer meetings, technical discussions, and field sales activities as capabilities develop, progressing toward ownership of sales opportunities Assumes increasing responsibility for customer-facing activities and assigned sales opportunities. Qualifications:
BA/BS degree or equivalent experience. 1-3 years of experience in sales support, customer service, technical sales, or a related business environment preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience using CRM systems and ERP/business management software preferred. Ability to learn technical products, applications, and market requirements. Comfortable working with numerical data sets to identify trends, support decision-making, and ensure accurate business reporting. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
Work is primarily performed in an office environment using standard office equipment and computer systems. Ability to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods. Ability to occasionally lift and carry materials, samples, or packages up to 25 lbs. Ability to travel occasionally for customer visits, trade shows, training, and company meetings. Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and through electronic communication platforms.

Compensation:
In accordance with California law, the expected salary for this full-time, benefited position is between $65,000 - $75,000.The actual compensation will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience and other factors permitted by law. #LI-NS1
