Job Description
Tech Associate (Level 1) We are seeking a Tech Associate Level 1 to join our technical operations team and support the testing, processing, and secure handling of electronic equipment and data-bearing devices. This is a great entry-level opportunity for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable with computer hardware, and interested in developing technical experience. Responsibilities Identify and process laptops, desktops, HDDs, SSDs, NVMe drives, and other electronic equipment. Verify serial numbers, models, capacities, and device specifications. Perform functional and diagnostic testing using approved tools and software. Identify passing, failed, damaged, or non-functional equipment. Perform and document approved data sanitization processes. Maintain accurate serialized inventory records. Scan, label, and update equipment information in company systems. Maintain proper chain of custody for data-bearing devices. Keep work areas clean, organized, and secure. Meet established productivity, quality, and accuracy expectations. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Basic knowledge of computers and computer hardware. Ability to identify common components such as HDDs, SSDs, RAM, and CPUs. Comfortable working with Mac and Windows-based computers and operating systems. Strong attention to detail. Ability to accurately record serial numbers and inventory information. Ability to follow written procedures and standardized work instructions. Reliable attendance and good organizational skills. Willingness and ability to learn new technical systems and processes. Preferred Experience Computer repair, refurbishment, ITAD, electronics recycling, warehouse, or technical operations experience. Experience testing HDDs, SSDs, laptops, desktops, or similar equipment. Familiarity with SMART diagnostics or data sanitization software. Experience working with serialized inventory. CompTIA A+, ITF+, or similar technical certifications are a plus, but not required. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who values accuracy, security, productivity, and accountability .
