Position Overview:
TechSmith's Sales Intern program supports the Revenue Organization at TechSmith. Within the Revenue Organization are Sales, Marketing, Customer Care and Revenue Operations. TechSmith Corporation encourages interns to express their distinctive talents and discover their core competencies. Our interns will have a significant business impact while working across teams on a variety of projects. We are currently looking for interns for the Spring and Summer semesters, with the option to extend beyond for additional semesters.
Responsibilities:
Develop a deep understanding of the company's priority customer missions and leading products Learn to use and understand the key concepts of the TechSmith software Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and support the creation process of sales and marketing deliverables Interact with TechSmith customers and partners, all over the world, as part of Sales development, and partner support activities while providing high levels of customer service. Work with the Sales team in day-to-day operations, contributing as a consistently productive team member. Assist customers to ensure they have a positive purchasing experience Handle customer sales concerns, troubleshoot, and solve problems Work on special projects, research deeper into our customer databases and analyze sales data Capture critical product and customer data to help improve sales opportunities and create efficient business processes Excel in a fast-paced environment and thrive under pressure Gain sales experience and learn selling skills through practice, coaching and training Experience a real-world view of the software industry and learn key business strategies and tactics Other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Background:
Strong knowledge of all MS Office programs Must be resourceful, customer-focused, and able to work on a team Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and listening skills Good organizational skills and capability to multi-task Ability to pay close attention to detail Self-motivated, independent worker who is reliable and communicative Dependable employee with minimum of six months previous sales, marketing, customer service, retail, or other related work experience Strong critical thinking skills Strong relationship builder with key stakeholders - other team members, leadership and other colleagues You must be legally authorized to work in the United States You must be enrolled for at least 6 credits (undergrad) or 3 credits (grad) for Fall and/or Spring semesters to be considered for an internship with TechSmith Corporation. Summer class enrollment is not required. Requires at least 12 hours minimum - 18 hours maximum per week year round Must be willing and able to work 20% of time in office (East Lansing, MI)

Preferred Skills and Background:
Experience working in an office environment Experience with MS PowerBI or MS SharePoint Experience with Data Analytics tools Additional languages or multi-cultural experience Ability to work from our East Lansing, MI headquarters each Wednesday based on team preference. Possible Software and System exposure during this Internship (depending on focus area): MS Dynamics MS PowerBI MS SharePoint Zoom MS Office Slack Camtasia Snagit Audiate Screencast.com Google Suite
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Competitive pay based on skills and experience. This is an hourly position with TechSmith Corporation. Hours are based on a consensus between you and your supervisor. We require a minimum of 12 hours per week; however, hours are limited to 18 hours per week.
