Learn more at www.hbfuller.com. Position Overview The Associate Technical Specialist supports laboratory and application-based technical service activities within H.B. Fuller's Advanced Building Solutions business, with a primary focus on glass applications. This role performs supervised testing, sample preparation, and customer-support activities while developing practical skills in materials, adhesives, and processes. The position provides hands-on experience with clear ownership of assigned technical requests and opportunities for continued technical growth. Primary Responsibilities Support construction and testing of insulating glass units (IGUs) and laminated assemblies Perform physical property and compatibility testing per defined procedures Execute application and laboratory test plans to support characterization and root cause analysis Prepare, ship, and track samples, IGUs, and supplies to and from the Center of Excellence Maintain laboratory equipment, supplies, and product inventory Document test results and communicate updates to internal and external stakeholders Support customer trials, demonstrations, and onsite visits Assist with 5S, safety, equipment maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives
Minimum Requirements Education:
High school diploma with 4+ years of relevant experience, or an associate or bachelor's degree in a related field
Experience:
Hands-on laboratory, manufacturing, or technical support experience
Skills:
Ability to follow written procedures and accurately document results
Skills:
Clear verbal and written communication with technical and non-technical partners
Work Authorization:
Authorization to work in the country of employment
Preferred Requirements Education:
Bachelor's degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
Experience:
1+ year supporting adhesives, glass, composites, or industrial substrates
Skills:
Experience with physical property testing and laboratory equipment
Experience:
Exposure to customer-facing technical or application support work #LI-LK1 Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location. The salary for this role is $65,000-$84,000. In addition to your salary, H.B.
