Job Description

Our client in the Tempe, AZ location is currently hiring for a Sales Representative. This position offers a structured training program designed to develop future outside sales professionals within the electrical distribution industry. The ideal candidate will have customer-facing experience, strong communication skills, and a desire to build a long-term career in sales and business development. Pay
  • $50,000
  • $55,000/year (depending on experience, customer-facing experience, education, and sales-related experience) Location
  • Tempe, AZ Schedule
  • Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM
  • 5:00 PM (Responsibilities)
  • Complete a structured training program to learn the company's products, services, customers, and sales processes
  • Build and maintain relationships with electrical contractors and other customers
  • Support account management activities and provide exceptional customer service to existing customers
  • Assist with quotations, project coordination, and order management activities
  • Develop technical knowledge of electrical products and industry applications
  • Partner with internal sales teams to identify customer needs and provide effective solutions
  • Participate in customer visits, account development initiatives, and ongoing sales training
  • Learn territory management, prospecting, and business development strategies
  • Work toward independently managing customer relationships and a future book of business
  • Drive sales growth while contributing to territory profitability and customer satisfaction
  • Act as a trusted advisor by understanding customer needs and recommending appropriate solutions (Qualification Requirements)
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 1+ year of customer service or customer-facing experience
  • Experience in sales, retail, hospitality, skilled trades, or other customer-focused environments
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and active listening skills
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to understand customer needs and provide solutions
  • Demonstrated initiative and a goal-oriented approach to achieving results
  • Ability to learn and retain technical product information
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Desire to build a long-term career in sales and business development
  • Comfortable working in a performance-driven environment with commission and profit-sharing opportunities (Disqualifiers)
  • No customer-facing or customer service experience
  • Poor communication or relationship-building skills
  • Lack of interest in sales, business development, or customer interaction
  • Inability to learn technical product information
  • Limited tenure demonstrating a lack of commitment to long-term career development
