Subs Up To-Go right next to the Surf City Pier! Join our dynamic team as a Sandwich Artist and become the face of a fast-paced, customer-focused food service environment! In this energetic role, you will craft delicious sandwiches, provide exceptional customer service, and ensure a clean, welcoming atmosphere for all guests. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create memorable dining experiences while maintaining high standards for food safety and sanitation. Responsibilities Prepare fresh sandwiches and food items according to established recipes and customer preferences Greet customers with enthusiasm, take their orders accurately, and process transactions efficiently using POS systems Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the food preparation area, dining space, and front counter Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change Assist with food handling, stocking supplies, and bussing tables to ensure a smooth flow of operations Follow food safety protocols diligently to uphold health standards and prevent contamination Requirements Previous experience in food preparation, quick service restaurants, or retail food environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided Familiarity with POS systems Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking between food prep and customer interactions Basic math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and inventory management Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques Kitchen or café experience is advantageous; experience in grocery stores or retail math is beneficial but not mandatory Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering quality food and outstanding service!
