Mount Carmel CEC is a church based, 5 star licensed daycare facility that serves children from 30 months old through 12 years old. We are looking for a Christian leader to serve as an afternoon teacher for our School age program. During the school year, this person will be responsible for working with K-6 students in our after school program alongside of our School Age staff from 1pm-6pm. There will be additional hours available on teacher workdays and during the summer in our 11 week, full day Summer Camp program for school aged children. Teachers are responsible for supervision and care of children in accordance with local and state regulations, basic sanitation practices, and most importantly fostering a Christian environment in the classroom. We are looking for someone who is willing to share their testimony of what it means to be a Christian and when they first trusted Christ and someone who would be comfortable leading Bible devotions, leading games and activities, and is flexible to work with other team members and a range of children aged 5-12 years old. Basic School Age Care experience or a BSAC certification is a plus, but not required. If you are interested or have questions, please feel free to contact us! A DCDEE Criminal Background check qualifying letter, TB test, and medical report will be required to begin, but we would be glad to help you complete these! This position is slated to begin on August 29, 2026, but we could start available candidates sooner in July or August if available.
