Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Embark on a meaningful contract opportunity serving students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) within a supportive school environment. This position is based in a single school and offers the chance to make a genuine difference in the lives of approximately 45 students. You'll work three days per week, providing vital support to students and collaborating closely with other education professionals.
Qualifications:
Valid UT Professional License as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Prior experience in a school-based setting or with pediatric populations preferred Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset Ability to maintain organized records and adapt to dynamic educational needs Commitment to supporting diverse learners in a school environment
Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse needs Work with students in both individual and group settings to improve their functional skills Collaborate with educators, parents, and other support staff to ensure comprehensive care Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in accordance with school procedures
