Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Make a positive impact by supporting students' physical development in a dynamic educational setting near Orange, VA. This contract opportunity invites a skilled Physical Therapist to provide essential services—currently focused on one student with an Individualized Education Program (IEP), with additional students anticipated to join your caseload. Key Qualifications:
Valid and current licensure as a Physical Therapist. Experience delivering PT services in a school setting is highly desirable. Solid understanding of IEP processes and the ability to tailor interventions accordingly. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage documentation and scheduling efficiently. Genuine passion for working with pediatric populations and helping students achieve their fullest potential. Excellent communication skills, both with students and multidisciplinary teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct physical therapy sessions for a student with an IEP twice weekly, with flexibility to support an expanding caseload. Assess, plan, and implement physical therapy interventions to meet each student's unique educational and developmental goals. Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to monitor progress and adjust strategies as needed. Maintain accurate records and progress reports in compliance with state and federal regulations. Participate in IEP meetings, providing input and recommendations for student services within the educational framework.
