Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Support student growth and well-being by providing expert physical therapy services on a contract basis for the 2026-2027 school year. This position offers you an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and adolescents, collaborating closely with educators and other support personnel. Your skills will help students develop and maintain the physical skills needed to access their educational environment, ensuring every student has the chance to participate fully.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Active Physical Therapist license Previous experience delivering PT services in a school setting preferred Familiarity with developing, implementing, and reviewing IEPs for students with diverse needs Effective communication and documentation skills Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary school team Positive, flexible approach and dedication to supporting student achievement
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to determine students' physical therapy needs within the educational framework Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans aligned with student IEPs Provide direct and consultative PT services, adapting strategies for individual learning environments Document all services, progress notes, and communications in a timely and compliant manner Collaborate with teachers, occupational therapists, speech/language pathologists, and families to maximize student outcomes Act as an advocate for students, promoting safe physical access and participation This contract opportunity empowers you to focus on the impactful work that matters, all while building professional relationships within a supportive school setting.
