Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic contract opportunity as an Occupational Therapist serving a diverse range of students from Pre-K to adults transitioning into new life stages. Located near Algonquin, IL, this meaningful assignment begins May 26th and continues through June 25th, 2026, totaling 18 hours per week. You'll primarily work within school settings (16 hours per week) and dedicate 2 hours each week to a local home, making a positive impact across educational and community environments.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Graduation from an ACOTE-accredited OT program (master's or doctorate). Completion of required fieldwork and clinical training. Successful completion of the NBCOT exam and direct verification to Illinois. Compliance with all state licensure processes, including payment of application and licensing fees. Maintenance of licensure through ongoing continuing education. Active Occupational Therapy license in Illinois. Experience in school-based settings preferred. Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services to a variety of age groups, from early learners through young adults in transition. Collaborate effectively with educators, families, and caregivers to support each individual's goals and progress.
Provide therapy across two environments:
on school campuses and in a local home, ensuring continuity and consistency. Evaluate, assess, and document students' needs and progress. Participate in creating, reviewing, and implementing IEPs and transition plans. Remain current on best practices and legal requirements for school-based OT services.
