Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding school-based occupational therapy position, making a difference for high school and post-secondary students. This in-person, full-time opportunity spans the entire academic year from August 12 to June 5, with the potential to continue in subsequent years. As part of the therapy team, you'll collaborate and share responsibilities with another experienced OT, supporting an engaged student population in their educational journeys.
Key Qualifications:
Licensure as an Occupational Therapist in California Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting (preferred) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to adapt therapy approaches for adolescents and young adults Collaborative approach to working with other professionals and support staff Commitment to in-person, on-site services for the duration of the assignment Ability to maintain accurate documentation and reports
Role Responsibilities:
Provide direct occupational therapy services to high school and post-secondary students, targeting IEP and transition goals Assess student needs and develop individualized treatment plans Work closely with another OT to divide caseload and ensure consistent coverage Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success Monitor, track, and report student progress, maintaining comprehensive records Participate in IEP meetings and assist with evaluations as needed Utilize creative treatment interventions suited for young adult learners This position offers the satisfaction of supporting students at a critical point in their academic and personal growth.
