Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity providing occupational therapy services within a welcoming school environment near Oakland, CA.
Two full-time roles are available:
one focusing on elementary-aged students, and another serving a broader K-12 population. Both positions span the entire school year, allowing you to make a sustained, meaningful impact on students' growth and development. Ideal candidates will bring strong clinical expertise, a collaborative spirit, and a passion for supporting young learners. This setting offers a rich professional experience, working alongside a multidisciplinary team dedicated to the success of each child.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) Previous experience in schools or with pediatric populations preferred Strong ability to assess, develop, and implement individualized therapy plans Skilled communicator comfortable collaborating with teachers, staff, and families Adaptable to meet the needs of both elementary and K-12 students Solid organizational and documentation abilities Available for a full school year commitment
Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans for students Provide direct therapeutic interventions in accordance with IEP goals Collaborate with educators and support staff to integrate therapy strategies within the classroom Maintain thorough and timely documentation of sessions and student progress Participate in IEP meetings, sharing insights and progress updates Educate families and caregivers on strategies to support students' development at home
